It's not about saving the economy - the crude oil expansion is about lining the pockets of the elite. Yes, I do agree that we need oil - for now at least. but this is not the way to do it. Selling it all to China at an accelerated rate would just deplete our own reserves. Considering the fact that Canada is literally sleeping with an elephant right now - we need all the reserves we can get. Being sustainable is something we have to work towards. This is a step in the right direction. - JFCM

It is so clear that the bitumen is almost impossible to clean up (Enbridge left a bunch in the bottom of the Kalamozoo because it would cause more damage to remove it then to clean it!) Why would anyone in their right mind want to risk spills of this stuff?...... Refine it in Alberta and have the side benefit of many more jobs in Canada in addition to a product that can a least be more easily cleaned up! Please share this :-) - EO'D
